Motorola Raz2 V8 Gold (Luxury Edition) Sporting a full metal jacket with gradating hues of dark pearl gray, the RAZR2 V8 is made to impress. With two high-quality displays with QVGA resolution, plus quad-band GSM support, two megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth, it’s a handset that delivers functionality besides style. The design of the RAZR2 Luxury Edition is entirely consistent with its image: not only it is expensive, it also looks expensive. An abundance of gold plated accents, the stylized back panel covered in a snakeskin texture, and the engravings on the sides radiate an inexpressible charm that’s very hard to resist. However, let’s put the poetry aside and move on to the specifics. NOW: RM 2299 |

Motorola Q8 The highlight is the 0.45" thickness, something that's perhaps hard to appreciate unless you've spent time with other smartphone devices. By way of comparison, that's almost exactly half the thickness of the Treo 700 family. The Q is also a little shorter than the Treo, but loses out in the waistline, coming in at .2" wider. The other key number is weight; the Q is a full two ounces lighter, coming in 4.1 ounces. Of course, some of these size benefits translate directly into weaknesses as the balancing act plays out; we'll get into that more in further sections. NOW: RM 999 |
